This episode looks at music as communication. In Africa drums were always used to send messages across the jungle. These same drums are now used to breathe life into the life stories of millions of hip-hop practitioners. The foundation of Black culture is oral. It is through these stories that a unique view of community and cultural interpretation can be heard.
