The PitchBLACK Forum is the high-stakes competition of BPM's 360 Incubator+ program — a three-month fellowship for documentary and short-form producers/directors developing new projects about the Black experience. At the Forum, fellows will pitch their projects to a panel of industry experts in an effort to become one of the finalists selected to receive up to $150K in project funding.
For a look at previous Forum participants, visit our main 360 Incubator+ page and scroll down to the Projects section.

PitchBLACK Awards celebrate Black media storytellers by honoring the past (Trailblazer Award), the present (Forum Awards), and the Future (Nonso Christian Ugbode Award).
The BPM Trailblazer award recognizes accomplished makers who've distinguished themselves both with their craft and in the mentoring of emerging makers. The inaugural recipients (2019) were Michèle Stephenson and Joe Brewster of Rada Film Group. This year's Trailblazer is producer/director Marco Williams.
The NCU Fellowship is awarded to groundbreaking makers under age 35 who work in in emerging media. The inaugural NCU recipient (2019) was Kian Kelley-Chung. The 2021 recipient will be announced at the upcoming PitchBLACK Awards ceremony.
The 2021 PitchBLACK Awards program will be held virtually and is open to the public. Registration details will be listed here soon. Join us for before and after the awards presentation at virtual mixers to meet the fellows, mentors, and other members of the BPM creative community. Tickets to these events are available here.
