BPM’s Open Call is for feature-length documentaries that are currently in pre-production, production, or post-production, and are intended for public media distribution. Selected projects receive production funding to advance the work. Our 2024 Open Call submissions will be accepted starting Tuesday, September 3.
BPM’s 360 Incubator+ is an intensive 3-month program for documentary filmmakers that features networking opportunities, skill-building workshops, tools for a successful pitch, and one-on-one mentoring with accomplished media makers.The Incubator is designed to accelerate the production of film projects and prepare each filmmaking team to pitch for production funding of up to $150,000 at BPM’s annual PitchBLACK Forum.
The Jacquie Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to support emerging and diverse content producers of nonfiction shorts, feature-length programs, web series, immersive projects, or podcasts. The scholarship is inspired by the life and work of Jacquie Jones who dedicated her life to the development and growth of diverse content creators, and the creation of projects that serve the needs of all communities that encourage dialogue, nurture respect and promote understanding. JJMSF awards up to $300K to film projects that seek finishing funds.
